Silver pendant enclosing an authentic Roman coin. The sterling silver frame (marked 925) is custom-made to the coin but if preferred can be removed without damaging the coin.

Coin: Æ follis, Emperor Constantine I, struck 313-315 AD, Siscia mint.

Obverse: IMP CONSTANTINVS PF AVG, laureate head right.
Reverse; IOVI CON- SERVATORI, Jupiter standing left, holding Victory on globe, leaning on sceptre and eagle at foot. 
Officina letter A in right field. Mintmark SIS

Diameter: ± 24,7 mm
Ref: Siscia, RIC VII 5
Quality: EF with smooth dark olive-green patina
Date: 313-315 AD (coin), set in modern custom-made sterling silver pendant.

Constantine the Great (Roman Emperor 306 - 337 AD) was the first Roman Emperor to convert to Christianity. His reign marked the transition from classical antiquity to the Middle Ages. In 330 Byzantium became the new capital of the Roman Empire and was renamed Constantinople in his honour.
